Beast


 Stats: Beast and Dark Beast basically have the same stats(2567, 1657 respectively), and they are good stats with a seven in a main power and a six in an off power. That's the way I like stats. Dark Beast's stats actually turn out a little better, though, because he is only 19 points instead of Beast's 20. With the Brute hero, you get quality stats as well. Again, a seven and a six in his first two powers with only 17 points. You can't ask for anything more without having an eight.
Specials:
* ACROBATICS (CD) {U} Only attacks made with Universe cards may be played against Beast for remainder of battle.
A card that can really save you if Beast is the only one left. Also good for shifting teams and from a battlesite.
* AMBIDEXTERITY (HC) {U} Beast may combine multiple Basic Universe cards with each Power card attack for remainder of battle.
If you are playing me, especially in a tournament, please put two or three of these in your deck.
* ANALYZE (AO) {C} Negates the effect of any 1 Special card played by opponent
One of the most flexible cards in the game and the one special that makes Beast playable.
* ANIMAL DEXTERITY (AD) {C} Avoid 1 Fighting attack
Way too limited.
* BEASTIAL BRAWN (AA) {C} Acts as a level 4 Strength attack, may make 1 additional attack against a different opponent
Use it if you need an extra card to get to 56.
* BIOCHEMIST (AL) {U} Remove 1 hit from the permanent record of any 1 teammate
A good card, but not as flexible as say Run From Slaughter. I use one or two.
* BRILLIANT DEDUCTION (HB) {U} Sort through opponent's Power Pack and remove any 3 cards of Beast's choice. Discard chosen cards into Dead Pile. Reshuffle Power Pack.
This is a great card that can win a game for you if you end up dueling your opponent in your power packs. Take out their big power cards and leave duplicates for them to draw.
* DROP KICK (AS) {U} [OPD] Acts as a level 9 Fighting attack
Great OPD. Use it.
Overall: Beast is a good, not great, character. The negates help any team and the OPD lends a little offense. The Brute gives the strength power a negater, and the other two Beast heroes allow you to use a KO hero event. Pretty cool.
