Doc Samson

Stats(2276): Wonderful stats. A seven and a six with only 17 points is very playable. The two's hurt, but not too much.

Specials:
* ANALYTICAL ASSAULT (EC) {U} Opponent must discard any 1 Special card currently held in his hand, opponent's choice.
This is one of my favorite cards to play with. It always hurts your opponent, and if it is negated, it is still successful.
* CAUTIOUS ADVISOR (AM) {U} Doc Samson or teammate gains +2 to defense for remainder of battle.
Too limited
* GAMMA MUSCLE (AB) {C} Acts as a level 4 Strength attack. May make 1 additional Strength attack.
A level 4 in his main power, no thanks.
* GREEN HAIRED HERO (DV) {R} [OPD] Doc Samson may make 1 attack at +4. May not be combined with Universe cards.
A good, not great card. It must be played when you know it can not be negated or you lose out in card advantage. It also does not count to damage or venture.
* HEAD SHRINKER (AR) {U} Acts as a level 7 Intellect attack.
A nice card, but it would be better if it was energy or fighting. But still, I use two!
* POWER PUNCH (AE) {U} Acts as a level 4 Strength attack. May combine with 1 Energy or Fighting Power card for a single attack.

* PSYCHOANALYZE (BZ) {R} [OPD] Opponent must reveal hand and play open handed for remainder of battle.
It is always nice to know what your opponent has.
* THEORETICAL TREATMENT (AL) {U} Remove 1 hit from the Permanent Record of any 1 teammate.
A nice card if Doc Samson is not a target, or on a shifting team.

Overall: Doc Samson is a nice hero, but is one card away from being really good. The sevens and Analytical Assault give good(and fun) offense, but he lacks good defense for himself. He is a negate, big attack, or big OPD away from rockin'!
